It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

it drew my attention as i have daddys girl tattoed on my ankle, but that is discusting. i used to be ana vid fan of SG, but i feel they accept anyone and everyone now, and they are no longer unique nor do they stand out as a suicide girl used to... *sigh*

i'm sure that many people have had the same disgusted sentiments...but i would like to add mine to the list nonetheless.
to see apnea and hussar as an inspiration is almost reflexive! but to manipulate said inspiration in such a way is beyond insensitive..quite appalling.

no, its legal to pay homages. Michael Hussar (my favorite painter) does not own the copyright to the imagery, just the painting, and the painting in full was not copied.

Now if he had that scary sucker copy written, thats a different story.

This is so messed up man. Im surprised they didnt have her copy the painting exactly.

Ive never trusted that Missy bitch EVER, this just adds to that. The artist should sue and I hope in him suing them it'll help your case as well.

This is disgusting. I really hope the model either had no idea of this, or just wanted to pay an honest homage to her favorite painter, and knew nothing of the lawsuit.

Unfortunately I don't think anything can be done about this. Michael Hussar's painting wasn't copied really, and unless he has a copyright on big scary, thorn handled suckers. No rules were broken.

Seems to me, like this might have been done just to spite LP. I mean Michael Hussar auctions off that exact painting to help LP, and then SG does this?
